To help us Grads settle into our new environment and to help us with any questions or problems we may have, each new Grad is assigned a Buddy. Your Buddy is a member of Edelman who was previously in our shoes who is on hand to point us in the right direction if need be. Edelman was also generous enough to give us money to go out for lunch sometime in the first few weeks of starting work so we can get to know our Buddy and chat to them in an informal out of office place. I think this is a really awesome idea, well done Edelman. So Ellen and I went for our slap up lunch and I learnt all the essential juicy office gossip! Additionally, in each department there is someone who is the Graduate Line Manager who shows us the ropes, manages our workload and is there to give any advice we may need.
