Before anyone gets up in arms (where the hell does that phrase even come from!? Supposedly; from the middle English ‘armes’ but that really explains nothing!), the title of this weeks’ blog is not an exposé of my narrow minded cynicism but a reference to Brass Eye; a quality piece of satirical programming from Channel 4 starring Chris Morris, sadly absent from our screens these days. To wit – this week I have been mostly working on behalf of the National Aids Trust in securing coverage for their campaign for World Aids Day on December 1st.
It’s been a really enjoyable week in Edelman Interactive Solutions (EIS), whether that has been because I’ve been working on something ‘worthy’ and it gives me a sense of purpose and wellbeing; I’m not too sure but either way – it’s going well. I’ve been contacting various websites, bloggers, local councils and companies to try and convince them to wear a Virtual Red Ribbon (VRR) on their website to promote awareness both of World Aids Day and also, of the crippling disease itself. For those that don’t know much about HIV/AIDS, look here for further info and spread the word to your friends about the VRR!!!
All joking aside this week has been enjoyable and varied and I’ve had quite a bit of independence to put together work and research potential opportunities.
It is only Wednesday when I write this so all could change by the end of the week, if so, this’ll get updated and the sentence you’re reading now won’t be here anymore!
Tatty Bye!
